HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Detroit, Michigan.
Job Description & Requirements
Title : Radiology Interventional Technologist
Location : Detroit, MI
Duration : 13-week contract
Shift : 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (Five 8-hour shifts or potential for Four 10-hour shifts depending on staffing).
On-call schedule : One weekend every three months and one weekday night every three weeks (subject to staffing changes).
Job Responsibilities :
Assist radiologists in performing complex diagnostic interventional procedures.
Explain procedures and prepare patients, including obtaining relevant medical history.
Prepare and administer prescribed contrast media, medications, and IV solutions.
Set up and operate sterile equipment, physiological monitors, pressure injectors, and imaging systems.
Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures.
Ensure adequate supply inventory (e.g., needles, catheters); restock as needed.
Operate imaging equipment manually to capture necessary diagnostic information.
Perform radiation protection measures (e.g., shielding, equipment settings).
Upload and manage images and studies in PACS and RIS systems.
Follow clinical protocols and collaborate with radiologists as necessary.
Train new personnel and students when applicable.
Complete necessary documentation for clinical and billing purposes.
Adhere to department protocols and professional standards.
Required Skills and Experience :
Minimum 3 years of previous experience.
Experience working in a Trauma Level 1 facility.
Prior Cath Lab experience.
Required Education :
High School Diploma or GED.
Ongoing continuing medical education as required.
Required Certifications & Licensure :
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
ARRT registration with advanced registry in one of the following :
Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI)
Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI)
Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)
Preferred Skills and Experience : \nAdditional ARRT specialization certifications are highly preferred.
