Revenue Accountant

Location : Hybrid in Seattle, WA

Contract Type : Contract-to-Hire

Compensation : Competitive market rate (Estimated range : $80,000-$100,000 annually DOE)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant for a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity in Seattle, WA . This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and experience managing revenue recognition, billing, and financial reporting. The Revenue Accountant will ensure accurate revenue tracking, compliance with GAAP, and support month-end and quarter-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Record, reconcile, and analyze revenue transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policy
  • Monitor accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and unbilled revenue balances
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition
  • Prepare revenue reports and schedules for management and external audits
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of revenue accounting policies and procedures
  • Review contracts and billing arrangements to ensure proper recognition of revenue
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, with focus on revenue recognition preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP / accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams
  • CPA designation preferred, but not required
  • Schedule :

    Hybrid work model (3 days onsite in Seattle, 2 days remote per week)
