Join Cheshire Medical Center as a Skilled Med Surg Registered Nurse for an engaging and rewarding travel assignment. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a dynamic hospital setting. You will coordinate care, participate in patient and family education, and collaboratively work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care. This position is ideal for nurses seeking a night-shift opportunity with a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Deliver direct patient care for adult and geriatric populations in a Med Surg environment
Utilize the Epic EMR system efficiently for documentation and ordering
Lead and collaborate with nursing colleagues and ancillary staff to maintain clinical standards
Engage in patient and family education to promote health and well-being
Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and professional standards
What You Bring :
Valid RN license in the state of New Hampshire ( Required : Active and unrestricted RN license )
Previous experience in Med Surg or similar acute care settings preferred
Strong patient care skills, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work the designated night shift consistently and reliably
Flexibility to work scheduled hours including potential holiday coverage (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) as per project requirements
Preferred Education & Experience :
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree preferred
At least 1-2 years of recent acute care nursing experience in Med Surg or similar unit
Familiarity with the Epic electronic medical record system
Prior experience working night shifts and managing a fast-paced clinical environment
Certification & License Requirements :
Licensed Registered Nurse in New Hampshire ( Active and unrestricted )
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or equivalent
Additional certifications such as ACLS are a plus but not mandatory
Additional Details :
Covid vaccinations are strongly recommended but not mandatory.
All compliance documents must be submitted within 5 days of offer acceptance, including the NH Temporary Health Care Service Agency License / Registration.
Note : Local travelers (residing within 50 miles of the facility) will not be considered.
Dress code : Traveler provided professional scrubs (no logos).
Compensation includes a weekly stipend of $429.31 and taxable pay of $642.42 weekly.
Orientation details : 0 multipliers for overtime or holiday hours.
Block scheduling is not available for this assignment.
