Overview

We're looking for a Writer to create compelling coverage for Tech Brew, one of Morning Brew's largest consumer publications.

Tech Brew is relaunching as a B2C publication, covering all the relevant daily news for the tech-curious — from AI to wearables to Elon (sometimes). The newsletter will combine original reporting and aggregation to help readers make better decisions and understand the rapidly changing world around them.

Morning Brew Inc is the most engaging business media company in the world with over 20 owned and operated multimedia brands reaching a monthly audience of 350 Million+ cross platform with a focus on both consumer and professional content. We have been building our brand umbrella and product suite out for years, and now have a hugely diverse and successful products suite across newsletter, onsite, live and virtual events, podcast, video, creator and social.

Our positions are remote hybrid; however, we have a strong preference for employees who can work from our Morning Brew HQ in NYC.

Here's what you'll be working on

• Write stories and other associated content for the Daily Tech Brew newsletter.
• Generate ideas for new newsletter initiatives.
• Pitch and develop story ideas aligned with Tech Brew's editorial goals.
• Conduct research, interviews, and reporting to produce original content when needed.
• Work collaboratively with editors, copy editors, and other team members to maintain Morning Brew's editorial standards and voice.
• Optimize content for email and other platforms to increase engagement with our audience.
• Support optimization of existing content processes and establish new ones where needed.

Compensation

COMPENSATION : $80,000-$85,000

Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.

Morning Brew Inc. was founded in 2015 by two entrepreneurial college students who noticed their peers were not consuming legacy media resources about business and finance news, but had a high desire to learn about those topics. What started as a small on-campus email has since evolved into a multi-channel media company that operates 20+ unique content franchises, maintaining our witty, honest, and engaging tone that millions rely upon daily.

In 2020 a majority stake in MBI was acquired by Axel Springer SE and in February 2025 that position was increased to full ownership of the business.
