As the Accounting Manager at Catalight, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations and financial reporting for a family of non-profit companies. This role involves managing key functions like accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and the month-end close process, while also leading a team of accountants. You'll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with financial standards such as GAAP and supporting the annual audit. Core Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable / receivable, payroll entries, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and organizational policies.
• Support the annual audit process by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls and recommend process improvements.
• Oversee grant-related accounting tasks and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Supervise a team of accountants or specialists, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with the finance team on budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Recommend process improvements and support financial system enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent To :

This role is best suited for someone with demonstrated expertise in financial leadership. The ideal candidate will bring substantial progress experience in accounting, a proven ability to lead complex financial functions and teams, and a background in healthcare financial management. Experience managing external audits and ensuring regulatory compliance is also essential.

$111,000.00 - $142,000.00 Annually
