Job descriptionBachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or IT (or equivalent work experience). Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ESRI enterprise tools . Experience creating story maps, dashboards, and web apps . Knowledge of geospatial formats, metadata, and spatial analysis techniques . Hands-on experience with GPS / tabular data integration . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. GISP certification (Geographic Information Systems Professional). Knowledge of environmental science or regulatory processes . Familiarity with GEO AI or ESRI AI tools .
About the Role
Our client is seeking an Advanced Decision Support Specialist (DSS) to provide GIS, geospatial analysis, and decision support solutions . The consultant will design workflows, create spatial data products, and build decision-making tools using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online .
This role requires strong technical expertise in GIS combined with the ability to translate technical outputs into plain business language for non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, document, and maintain geospatial workflows for analysis.
- Perform spatial analysis and create maps, dashboards, and story maps .
- Develop web content in ArcGIS Online (Story Maps, Web Maps, Survey123 apps).
- Translate requirements into decision support tools and reporting applications .
- Provide technical support and training to business users.
- Integrate GPS and tabular data into ArcGIS Online feature services.
- Communicate geospatial concepts clearly to business stakeholders and leadership .
- Support GEO AI and ESRI AI tool adoption under DEP standards.
