Department Admin
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Department Admin to provide essential administrative support to the PTT Department. This role involves collaborating with the General Manager, Department Team Members, and other administrative staff across divisions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including personnel support, budget management, and general administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the PTT Department and collaborate with the General Manager and Team Members.
- Assist with new hire setup, including desk preparation, access provision, and general onboarding support for team members.
- Maintain department organization charts and evacuation lists for specific buildings.
- Train new Powertrain Division Admins in collaboration with other division admins.
- Manage indirect and direct operating budgets, including attending budget meetings, monthly status reporting, purchase requisition submission, and monthly accrual preparation.
- Coordinate and assist with capital budget management, including tracking and maintenance activities.
- Arrange and set up meetings, department events, and coordinate tours for executives and visitors.
- Organize team-building events, department lunches, and other special occasions.
- Order office supplies and manage supplies budget, making recommendations for purchases.
- Arrange travel through the designated travel agency and handle occasional mail distribution.
- Assist in special projects and cross-company communications for problem resolution.
- Participate in administrative staff support meetings and provide backup for other department assistants.
- Assist in IT systems maintenance and data storage / restructuring activities.
Essential Skills
3+ years of general office / department support experience.Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.Advanced knowledge of MS Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge / proficiency with SAP / Ariba is strongly preferred.A strong accounting / financial background is a plus.Strong ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.Ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels.Work Environment
The position is fully onsite in Ann Arbor, MI, with working hours from 9 : 00 am to 5 : 30 pm. This role offers a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a long-term, open-ended contract that has the potential to become a direct position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00 / hr.
