Job Responsibilities
- Mentor and support junior designers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Oversee design projects from conception to completion across various mediums.
- Conduct market research to keep the design team informed about industry trends.
- Assist in development of mood boards, presentations and other materials for the design team and clients.
- Create visually appealing and effective designs for team sharing.
- Collaborate in photo studio and prop rooms; assist with preparation for client deliverables.
- Present design concepts and research findings to internal teams across multiple locations.
- Create packaging specifications and constructed mock-ups for client presentation.
- Create vivid concept imagery and physical packaging mock-ups for sales presentations to clients.
- Meet with sales department and clients to review and revise artwork.
- Develop innovative designs for home storage products.
- Manage product lifestyle photo shoots of each product as necessary.
- Must be able to design and layout die lines for new and existing products using Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Coordinate design projects as directed through multiple associates from concept to final delivery of assets to factory.
- Manage multiple projects with varying priority levels and tight deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Advanced proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook and various Internet applications.Excellent analytical, prioritization, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Strong presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), and planning abilities.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning.Strong grasp of mathematical concepts and their practical applications.Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, deadline driven environment.Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and accurate reporting.Proficient in reading, writing, and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to work on-site in Manhattan, NY.PLEASE INCLUDE PORTFOLIO LINK OR ATTACHMENT
