Responsible to : Director of Nursing OPWDD

Job Summary :

The RN- OPWDD is an integral part of the treatment team who provides health care services for individuals in their care, ensuring that all overall health and safety needs are met. Acts as the shift supervisor for employees responsible for providing care to our individuals. Provides ongoing training and mentoring of Direct Support Professionals.

Additional Information :

Salary Range : $31.00 - $38.00 per hour.

Schedule : Per diem. Primarily evening and weekend hours.

Essential Job Duties :

Conduct medical assessment of individuals.

Decide interventions following the nursing process.

Provide education on medical issues and concerns to individuals, their families, and employees as indicated on their plan of care and diagnosis.

Perform any other duties listed on the daily / weekly / monthly / semi-annually / annually site specific responsibility checklist.

Assisting and educating the implementation of medical health care.

Educating direct care staff on medical competencies.

Provide treatments, medications, and medical monitoring as necessary.

Any other duty as requested by your supervisor.
