POSITION SUMMARY

Provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates the ability to critically think under intense circumstances. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Administers Medications according to standard nursing practice. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education

Associates degree in Nursing

Minimum Experience

N / A

Required Registration / License / Certification

ACLS within 90 days of DOH / Transfer.

BLS obtained within 90 days of hire.

Registered Nursing License

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience

2 years of Critical Care Experience preferred

Preferred Registration / License / Certification

CCRN within 2 years of DOH or transfer.

Certification in clinical area of expertise.

Cardiac Surgery Certification after obtaining CCRN
