Accent Electrical Services is a commercial electrical contractor with projects located throughout the Denver Metro Area. This results in creating a strong and successful relationship between our employees, clients and vendors. We are looking for an experienced electrical apprentice to join our team!
Scope of Work :
- The electrical apprentice is responsible for installation, alterations, additions and / or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial industry.
- All apprentices are encouraged to attend school. Accent Electrical Services is affiliated with Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) and recommends this school for your Apprenticeship Training.

Safety & Health : Use and take care of the protective equipment and safety gear providedWear personal protective equipment at all timesFollow safety procedures; do not undertake work which is unsafe or involves unsafe practicesPromptly inform your supervisor if you identify an unsafe act or conditionAttend and complete all safety and health trainingAll Apprentices are prohibited from working on energized circuits or equipment except under direct supervision of Journeyman / ForemanPerforms assigned tasks in a safe mannerDemonstrates thorough knowledge of all skills generally attributed to an upper level electrical apprentice. Also possess motivation to accomplish such tasks with general supervisionJob requires employee to have required personal tools with them at all timesKeeps all tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and the work area clean at all timesConduit bending and installation - all sizesSet up and pull wireFixture rough-ins and connectionsBasic layout from sketches / blueprintsPanel terminationsSize conduit and boxesTransformer terminationsMotor terminationsUnderground rough-insProject Specific Responsibilities :
Handle materials required for the jobInstall raceways, pull wire and mount equipmentAssemble and install small electrical parts & piecesTrim outlets, recessed cans and other repetitive finish workDig trenches / holes as neededPerform duties assigned by foremanRequirements
Qualifications / Skills Required :
Be at least 18 years of agePass drug screen and background checkMust have prior years previous electrical experience (MUST provide letters of time or affidavit of experience)Positively identify colors of wiresComprehend blueprints, schematics and one line diagramsRead and interprets maps, instructional manual, specifications and written instructionsHave a proactive approach to problem solvingPunctual, motivated, detail oriented and will not accept second bestPossess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a diverse fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in Accent Electrical Services business strategiesWilling to travel as neededPossess good vision (normal or corrected)High School Diploma / GED required for schoolingPhysical Demands :

Must be able to lift from ground to overhead and overhead to groundConstantly moving on your feetWork from all type ladders (Step ladders up to a 14' "A" frame and all size extension ladders.) Personal weight with personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1 - 250lbs, Class 1A - 300lbs)Perform work at various heights, up to 50' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other safe work areasWork in restricted areas, switchgear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics and vaults.
