Summary

We are looking for a Staff QA Automation Engineer to lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and efficient testing frameworks. In this role, you will evaluate and integrate advanced tools and practices that align with product strategy, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability across all projects.

As a Staff-level engineer, you bring deep technical expertise and serve as a trusted authority on complex testing solutions. You will play a key role in defining testing strategies, setting best practices, and guiding cross-functional teams through automation, performance, and quality assurance initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Professional Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering or related roles.

    • Required Technical Skills

  • Expertise in test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting.
  • Strong programming background in JavaScript, Python, or Java.
  • Hands-on experience with automation testing tools for functionality, security, and UI validation.
  • Proven ability to design and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure product quality and usability.
  • Practical experience in performance and mobile testing.
  • Proficiency in database systems (SQL) and data validation.
  • Skilled in API testing and integration (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
  • Experience with ETL validation and data pipeline testing.
  • Advanced experience testing Power BI components, including :
  • Validation of semantic models, Power BI service, and Power BI Desktop.
  • Verification of data migration accuracy from Azure SQL DB to Microsoft Fabric.
  • Validation of Fabric pipeline ETL processes and semantic models.
  • Testing of Power BI service features, including navigation, permissions, and report consistency.
  • Validation of report changes, such as filters, renamed fields, and field mappings.
  • Comparison of Excel-based data sources with Power BI outputs for accuracy.
  • Automation of functional testing for large-scale report deployments.
  • Assurance of data integrity across multiple environments (test vs. production).
  • Participation in scrum and roadmap meetings to design independent test cases aligned with delivery goals.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Proficient in version control (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
  • Skilled in CI / CD pipeline integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proactive in identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborative and open to adopting new technologies and innovative testing approaches.

  • Experience with data validation and data quality testing.
  • Familiarity with AI-based testing tools or test optimization frameworks.
