ECS is seeking an AWS Solutions Architect (AI focus) to work in our Memphis, TN office. The candidate will support our USPS client, enhancing enterprise services and solutions as part of an integrated program including evaluation, integration, strategy, design, implementation, and operational maintenance. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of technical and business requirements and the ability to map them to the right solutions to build a robust architecture. The candidate will work with cross-functional teams including development, support, and regulatory oversight to ensure the system aligns with objectives. This role bridges traditional applications with modern AI-driven data workflows, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and ready for intelligent automation. Experience in AI / ML projects and use cases is preferred in areas such as NLP, data provenance, LLMs / RAG, or deep learning.
Responsibilities
- Solution Design : Design scalable, cost-effective solutions while ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Collaboration : Work with stakeholders and product teams to gather requirements and translate them into well-architected solutions.
- Implementation : Implement solutions using AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.). Deploy using automated tools such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Security and Compliance : Ensure architecture adheres to AWS best practices and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Performance Optimization : Focus on performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Provide technical support on AWS issues, monitor solutions, and address performance bottlenecks.
- Cloud Governance : Use IAM, tagging, cost management, and related tools to enforce governance and implement monitoring / alerts.
- Adaptability : Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Communication : Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Teamwork : Work independently and with teams, providing and receiving direction; collaborate with departments to ensure high availability and performance.
- AI / ML Deployment : Partner with data scientists, data architects, and federal stakeholders to deploy AI / ML models in production.
Required Skills
Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Management or equivalent.Twelve (12)+ years of experience in information systems, including seven (7) years of specialized AWS experience, or equivalent adaptable experience with modern cloud tech.AWS Solutions Architect, Professional certification.Strong knowledge of cloud concepts, architecture patterns, and best practices.Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS solutions.Experience with PaaS and IaaS in AWS; knowledge of S3, EC2, RDS, RedShift, VPCs, Security Groups, etc.Ability to create and maintain roadmaps of enhancements and manage AWS resource usage with customers.Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and orchestration.Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible).Strong scripting skills (Java, Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).Problem-solving skills, cloud governance knowledge, and strong communication abilities.Experience supporting modern web development and thriving in fast-paced, collaborative environments.Familiarity with Large Language Models, NLP, GenAI, and scaling AI tools; comfortable with Git.Ability to work with data scientists, data architects, and federal stakeholders to deploy AI / ML models in production.Desired Skills
