Estimator (Sonoma)

When assigned to a construction project, the Estimator will report to the Project Manager or designated Deputy Project Manager. The Estimator will have a dual reporting role to the Chief Estimator (or designated Senior Estimator) based on experience.

Major Duties & Responsibilities :

• Prepare preliminary cost estimates / budgets / schedules
• Maintain / create subcontractor / vendor bid list
• Prepare accurate quantity surveys / take-offs
• Solicit bid information from subs / partners / suppliers
• Distribute and manage bid plans
• Prepare pricing pages for Bids
• Ensure Bid documents are up to date, including an addendum received, on the shared drive and sharefile for subcontractors
• Delivery of bids, proposals, and prequalification to Owners
• Manage, as required, WBE, DBE, SBE, and / or MBE goals during bid process
• Lead detailed reviews of subcontractor's scope and price prior to award.
• Maintain excellent relationship with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best pricing, delivery, and quality.
