We are excited to invite a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team, working in collaboration with our prescribers, therapists, and case managers to provide crucial support to underserved individuals struggling with mental health issues or substance use disorders.
As an LPN, you will play an integral role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of personalized nursing care, utilizing your clinical expertise and sound judgment. You will provide care, including IV therapy, in alignment with UPMC's LPN Practice Guidelines, policies, and state regulations.
As the ideal candidate, you will have an active LPN license in good standing, be CPR certified, and demonstrate flexibility in your approach to patient care. While prior experience in a mental health setting is preferred, it is not required. This is a full-time, daylight position, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances : LPN must maintain state licensure where they are practicing or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located. In order to perform IV therapy, and if graduated prior to 2012, the LPN will need to provide official proof of completion of IV therapy approved program. Basic Life Support OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
