Maintenance Worker I
The City of Riverside is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Worker I to fill one (1) vacancy in the Parks Division of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department. The eligibility list established may be used to fill the current and / or upcoming vacancies within this classification for up to six (6) months. This is an entry-level, full-time maintenance position within the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCSD). The Maintenance Worker I performs a variety of general and semi-skilled construction and maintenance tasks for the City across various departments. A Maintenance Worker I within PRCSD maintains park cleanliness and safety practices, minor irrigation repairs, landscaping, weed control, graffiti abatement, playground inspection and trash removal.

Qualifications
Education : High School graduation or satisfactory equivalent (GED). Experience : Six (6) months of heavy manual labor experience providing maintenance. Licenses and Certifications : Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid appropriate Class "C" California Motor Vehicle Operator's License. Highly Desired Qualifications : Commercial landscape maintenance experience, Commercial irrigation experience, Sports field maintenance experience.
