(Available to qualified Technicians hired at Level II–IV)

A day in this role

Morning starts with a review of work orders with your Branch Manager / Service Advisor. From there, you’ll move between projects : installing a service body on a utility truck, rebuilding an air brake system on a dump unit, and diagnosing a diesel issue on a fleet chassis. By midday, you might be wiring up strobes and ladder rack lighting, checking multiplex circuits, and fine-tuning an air or spring suspension. In the afternoon, you’ll fabricate and weld brackets, mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, and mud flaps, all while following strict PPE and safety procedures. You’ll also exchange tips with teammates, help train peers as needed, and handle other tasks requested by your supervisor.

What you’ll work on

• Upfitting : Install truck bodies and a wide range of commercial accessories (hitches, storage systems, ladder racks, mud flaps, and more).
• Diesel systems : Perform repair, diagnostics, rebuilding, and general service on engines including Cummins, Caterpillar, and Mercedes.
• Brake systems : Service, repair, and rebuild heavy-duty air brake systems.
• Electrical : Troubleshoot wiring and electronics; familiarity with multiplexing is a plus.
• Suspension : Diagnose and repair heavy-duty air and spring suspensions.
• Safety : Comply with PPE standards and company safety rules.
• Team support : Cross-train and assist other mechanics; take on additional duties as assigned.
