About The Position

Location :  Grundy, Virginia

Position Type :  Locum Tenens – Hospitalist

Pay Rate :   $210 / hour

Schedule :  7 on / 7 off starting  November 2025

Coverage :  7 AM – 7 PM onsite +  night pager call  (7 PM – 7 AM) – rarely called back in

Escape the high-volume chaos and enjoy a relaxed, well-supported hospitalist assignment in the scenic heart of  southwest Virginia . This is a  low-census ,  low-acuity  role perfect for a reliable and experienced Hospitalist seeking consistent blocks of work.

📅 Start Date :  Early November 2025

📈 Daily Census :  9–10 patients

🌙 Night Admissions :  ~1 (pager call only – no onsite return expected)

🏥 ICU Patients :  Typically 1–2 on service

🧑‍⚕️ APP Coverage :  None

🩺 Procedures Required :  None

🧪 Preferred Skills :  Intubations & central lines (not mandatory)

🖥️ EMR :  MediTech

What You’ll Receive :

✅  $210 / hr  (malpractice included in rate)

✅ Night call : pager-only

✅ H oliday pay

✅  All travel, lodging, and malpractice covered

✅ Clean 7 on / 7 off schedule

Requirements (No Exceptions) :

• ️  Board Certified – REQUIRED
• ️  Active VA License
• ️ Available 7 on / 7 off – REQUIRED
• ️  ACLS / BLS – Current
• ️  Fully COVID vaccinated
• ️ Clean background & malpractice history
