The Role What Youll Do!
- Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS policies and procedures.
- Execute day-to-day EHS activities to ensure compliance and safe operations across the facility.
- Plan, design, and deliver engaging EHS training programs that build knowledge, reinforce behaviors, and strengthen the safety culture.
- Lead initiatives that boost employee engagement and directly improve EHS performance and participation.
- Partner closely with department managers and employees to identify hazards, implement safety improvements, and reduce the sites environmental footprint.
- Track, analyze, and present key EHS metrics and reports to monitor progress and guide action plans.
- Collect, organize, and maintain EHS compliance records, data, and documentation to support audits and inspections.
- Manage all waste-handling activities (hazardous, solid, bio-hazardous, etc.) to ensure safe and compliant disposal practices.
- Apply and maintain strong EHS management controls for all site activities impacting compliance.
- Lead thorough incident investigations, identify root causes, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed and verified.
- Develop, test, and maintain emergency response and spill response plans, ensuring equipment and teams are ready at all times.
- Take ownership of additional EHS-related projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications That Move Us!
A bachelors degree is required; a Science-related degree is preferred.A minimum of five (5) years of related experience is preferredAn equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions may be considered.Strong work ethic - must be a self-starter and willing to do what it takes to complete the taskStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsAbility to multi-task and execute tasks with a high attention to detailCommitment to providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customersStrong written and verbal communication skillsMicrosoft Office (especially Excel) proficiencyTeamwork
