Responsibilities

Take-in underwriting submissions, perform account clearance, OFAC clearance, and prepare underwriting worksheets for underwriting review
Set up underwriting files and maintain proper and complete underwriting documentation
Assist underwriters with underwriting analysis, rating and quoting, binding, and policy issuance
Maintaining accurate newline and renewal logs
Manage midterm endorsement requests
Responsible for the preparation of renewals, including the 60 / 90 day renewal notices

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

3+ years of current line of business underwriting analyst experience

Technical underwriting support skills including : submission in-take, new and renewal submission management, pricing preparation, risk analysis preparation, underwriting documentation expertise required

Demonstrated capability of managing all aspects of the underwriting analyst responsibilities

Knowledge of financial lines products, coverages and policy forms

Strong organizational skills required to successfully manage underwriting files and workflow process

Customer focused (You excel at relationship building and customer responsiveness)

Strong written and oral communication skills (i.e. Your communication style is flexible and adapts to the situation)

Ability to prioritize tasks and work on a daily basis in response to a dynamic work environment

Strong sense of accountability (You can work independently and manage to multiple deadlines)
