Area Sales Manager - West

Kasa is the leading tech-enabled hotel and apartment hotel brand and manager. Kasa has built a hospitality operating system that fundamentally improves the profitability of hospitality assets while delivering a high-quality, digitally forward experience to guests. We partner with owners of multifamily and boutique hospitality properties to provide stylish, professionally managed accommodations to business and leisure travelers alike. Unlike traditional hotel operators, we prioritize automation, AI-driven pricing, and data-driven decision-making to optimize revenue and improve guest experiences.

The Area Sales Manager will report to the Associate Director of Sales and work closely with the Revenue Management, Reservations, and Operations teams. This individual will be laser-focused on prospecting group and preferred corporate leads.

Like any role at a fast-paced start-up, there is no 'typical day', but you will be responsible for the execution of a sales strategy for Kasa's portfolio in a defined area, targeting all market segments, including leisure travel, corporate preferred, groups, and others. An exciting part of this is being instrumental in changing the way corporate and group travelers view the flexible accommodations space.

Required Attributes

  • Lead Investigator : Promptly assesses every inbound lead to create opportunities to expand Kasa's partnerships, profit, and portfolio experience
  • Detail-Oriented : Ability to magnify the big picture whether meticulously organizing inbound leads and executing tasks accordingly through finalizing contracts; the innate mindfulness to details is ever present pertaining to contracts, organization, prioritization
  • Culture Cultivator : Possesses a genuine passion for being a part of a world-class team; not only succeeding individually, but positively influences team members to engage, grow, and exceed expectations for Kasa
  • Fearless Negotiator : Confidently negotiates and navigates conversations with internal and external stakeholders; resulting in closed deals across accounts that vary in size, scope, and industry

Experience

  • 35+ years of experience in hotel group sales, corporate accounts, or extended-stay property sales
  • Strong background in building, maintaining, and growing key client relationships, particularly with community-based organizations
  • Proven ability to leverage local market connections to drive SMERF business opportunities
  • Skilled at overseeing multiple hotels or geographic regions, with clear territory sales strategies
  • Proficient in hotel CRM systems for pipeline and client management
  • Ability to analyze travel trends, competitor rates, and demand generators to adjust sales tactics
  • Strong experience negotiating group rates, long-term stay agreements, and corporate preferred contracts
  • Proven ability to drive occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room) through targeted sales efforts
  • Exceptional at presenting hotel services to corporate clients, and travel managers

  • In one year, you will succeed at Kasa by having :

  • Achieved or exceeded sales targets by driving room bookings, group sales, corporate contracts
  • Secured repeat business from corporate accounts, travel agencies, and groups
  • Expanded Kasa's visibility in target markets through strategic partnerships, networking, and promotions
  • The starting base pay range for this role is between $73,000 and $80,000 and is set based on multiple considerations including business needs, market demands, talent availability, experience, and unique skills and attributes. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity, bonus, perks, benefits, and Kasa Travel Credits.
