Core responsibilities
- Patient assessments :
- Conduct interviews and administer standardized rating scales (e.g., cognitive, psychiatric, or neurological evaluations) to assess participant status.
- Data collection :
- Collect and document accurate, consistent data in accordance with study protocols and specific guidelines.
- Protocol adherence :
- Ensure all activities, documentation, and interactions are performed in strict compliance with study protocols, FDA regulations, and Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
- Team communication :
- Communicate ratings, issues, and patient status professionally with the clinical team, sponsors, and monitors.
- Patient safety :
- Monitor for any potential safety risks and respond appropriately to ensure the well-being of participants.
- Documentation :
- Maintain accurate and timely source documents and complete all sponsor queries.
Required skills and qualifications
Education :A background in psychology, neuroscience, nursing, or a related health science is often required.
