Description - Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments along with observational methods. - Formulate personalized treatment plans that tackle short-term objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. - Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. - Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to craft cohesive care strategies. - Provide education to patients and families to bolster progress outside of therapy sessions. - Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the healing process. - Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. - Keep abreast of advances in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. - Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. Certifications - State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. - Preferred : Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
