Rate : Roughly $28- 30 / hour W2 + Benefits (Swoon covers 50% of benefits) or $31-33 / hour C2C
Job Description
The Buyer / Purchasing 3 role supports the Maintenance Components category procurement team, managing the sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationship activities necessary for operational success. The role involves both collaborative and independent tasks, focusing on supplier evaluation, cost management, and ensuring adherence to quality and delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Evaluate and optimize suppliers based on cost, quality, service, and availability.
- Approve purchase orders and manage vendor contracts, including negotiation and administration.
- Identify alternative suppliers for constrained parts and present recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sourcing timelines and track progress.
- Resolve invoicing discrepancies and ensure compliance with market data and contracts.
- Maintain procurement systems, including supplier pricing updates and approval routing.
- Prepare and present sourcing council documentation for supplier selection processes.
- Analyze data and develop recommendations for supplier changes and resource development.
Qualifications (Required) :
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or related).5-7 years of professional experience in supply chain, procurement, or purchasing.Strong data analysis, communication, and organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI and SAP preferred.Qualifications (Desired) :
CPSM, CPPM, or CPP certification (preferred).Experience with cross-functional projects and supplier evaluations.Effective communicator, able to interact with supplier leadership and internal teams.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.Soft Skills :
Strong interpersonal skills to drive consensus in high-pressure situations.Effective written and verbal communication.Analytical problem-solving with attention to detail.Typical Day :
Analyze part attribute data and supplier quotations for sourcing decisions.Track and report progress on sourcing projects.Prepare presentations for sourcing council approvals.Validate and update supplier pricing in procurement systems.Collaborate with team members to resolve procurement challenges and invoicing discrepancies.Business Unit : PSLD Procurement
