The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Project Accountant who is responsible for all accounting and administrative duties related to their assigned projects and the management of any Project Accountant assigned to them. The Senior Accountant will have a complete understanding of costs charged to the assigned projects and be able to analyze job financial performance and assist the project manager and project accountants with job budgets and projections.

Key Responsibilities

• Manager of a Project Accountant (if assigned).
• Assist Project Accountants and Project Managers, when necessary, with job cost analysis and projections.
• Set up jobs within Vista Viewpoint.
• Entering job estimates into Vista.
• Job Cost Analysis.
• Update backlog projections in Vista based on feedback from PM.
• Enter owner change orders.
• Preparation of billings. Effectively communicate with Project Managers and Principals in Charge, regarding contract documents and change orders related to billing.
• Payroll Entry / Verification if applicable.
• Purchase order closings.
• Assist with additional tasks assigned by Supervising Senior Project Accountant and Job Cost Manager.
• Work with Project Managers to keep accounts receivables current on projects.
• Provide training to other Project Accountants as needed.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
