$250,000.00 / yr - $300,000.00 / yr

Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Eligible applicants must meet specific VHA policy requirements and submit an EDRP application within four months of appointment. Award amounts and eligibility periods are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services office. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to reapply.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

• United States citizenship or eligible non‑citizens when qualified citizens are unavailable.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a VA‑approved school.
• Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Completed residency in an accredited core specialty training program approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs (ACGME, AOA, or an equivalent internationally accredited program with five years of verified U.S. practice).
• Residents approved by the ACGME / AOA and otherwise meeting the basic requirements may be appointed as Physician Resident Providers (PRPs) on an intermittent or fee‑basis, provided they hold a full license.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Preferred : 2 years of clinical experience in Movement Disorders, including a 1‑2 year movement‑disorder fellowship (reference : VA Qualification Standards ).
• Physical requirement : Light carrying under 15 pounds, use of fingers, walking, and standing for one hour each.
