Primary Function
Must be able to read and understand sketches and interpret their meaning onto glass edges.
Job Overview :
Position glass on fabrication equipment or inspection tableAttend to glass moving through machines, adjusting equipment for proper finishCalibrates machine / equipment for desired fabrication and qualityUse of hand tools and powered hand tools such as sanders, grinders, etc.Polish material / parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power toolsInspect for quality standardsPlace tabs on corners of pieces of glass of different sizes to minimize risk of breakageAdhere to all safety standards and PPE requirementsOther duties as assignedRequirements :
Employees at OBE are expected to have regular and predictable attendance, work independently with little direct supervision, aptitude to learn and understand and willingness to cross-train in other areas as required.
