SUMMARY
The Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) - PRN is responsible for the provision of Occupational Therapy services for an inpatient and / or outpatient population from age 15 and older, including, but not limited to, evaluations, evidence-based intervention, equipment recommendations, and modality application under the referral of a physician or qualified non-physician provider.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Administers OT evaluations to inpatients and / or outpatients and determines appropriate treatment programs and / or equipment needs, integrating age specific needs and issues for physical medicine rehabilitation population.
- Develops a patient-centered treatment plan based upon the evaluation, patient goals, and age-related issues / needs to optimize treatment and function.
- Responsible for assuring the treatment plan supports medical necessity and incorporates evidence-based treatments and outcome measures.
- Accurately completes documentation in compliance with department and regulatory timelines to ensure a complete medical record that supports skilled services and appropriate medical necessity.
- Provides clinical supervision, including but not limited to coordination of care and delegation of duties, to assistants, techs, and students according to state / federal regulations and hospital guidelines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
