Job Description

A leading engineering team is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Charging System Engineer to support battery electric machine (BEM) systems. This role emphasizes system-level engineering, focusing on validation, integration, and issue resolution of current charger designs, with future opportunities in new charger development. The ideal candidate will bring a strong experience in electrical systems, power conversion, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly gain expertise in the current charging system design.
• Diagnose and resolve charger integration issues with BEMs.
• Support validation activities, including FMEA-based testing.
• Assist with lab-based charger testing and machine integration at field sites.
• Work with high-voltage AC (up to 690V) and DC (up to 1500V) systems.
• Integrate systems involving chargers, switchgear, receptacle boxes, and utility infrastructure.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and machine engineering teams.
• Contribute to defining requirements and designs for new charger products.
• Participate in R&D initiatives related to EV charging and electrification systems.

Work Environment

The work environment includes an office setting with some lab work and travel to supplier sites. This role offers the opportunity to support next-generation electrification products.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $63.00 / hr.
