Job descriptionPlan, design, and oversee civil engineering and construction projects for various clients, applying knowledge of general civil engineering design techniques and principles on both public and private water and wastewater projects. Responsible for project scoping, budgeting and scheduling, project design, and client communication. Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects. Perform calculations and analysis including site layout, hydraulic modeling, grading, earthwork analysis, water pipe profiles, storm sewer system, utility infrastructure design, as well as erosion and sediment control. Calculate cost and determine feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data, using computer-assisted engineering and design software including AutoCAD / Civil 3D. Prepare and modify project reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs as required, and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, construction and safety standards.

Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation such as Civil Engineer, Project Engineer, or Water Engineer.
- Requires Maryland Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
