Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Investment Consultant to join the Bolton Investment Consulting Group in Towson, MD. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in investment consulting, especially in the public sector and / or Taft-Hartley environment. A minimum of 10+ years of retirement plan experience , and proven investment acumen is required. This position requires the candidate to have their series 65 license or CFA designation and may require up to 35% travel.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver investment consulting and fiduciary guidance to sponsors of retirement plans (especially within public sector and / or Taft-Hartley (multi-employer union) environments).
• Oversee plan reviews, perform fee benchmarking, evaluate investment lineups, and execute manager searches.
• Lead the development and ongoing monitoring of Investment Policy Statements (IPS), focusing on prudent governance and plan objectives.
• Support performance measurement and monitoring-producing insightful reports comparing funds to benchmarks and peers.
• Engage in vendor searches and RFP processes for investment managers, platform providers, and fiduciary support services.
• Provide education and training on fiduciary best practices, governance structures, and litigation risk mitigation.
• Assist with provider searches, QDIA evaluations, and plan governance.
• Build and nurture long-term client relationships, representing Bolton's values of independent thought, integrity, and excellence.
