LHH is proactively seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Administrative Assistant to support our client’s finance team in the Houston area. This is a contract opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a structured environment, and has a strong administrative background.
Job Title : Accounting Administrative Assistant
Location : Houston, Texas (On-site or Hybrid depending on client needs)
Job Type : Contract / Temporary
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Pay Rate : $23.00 - $28.00 / hr (DOE)
As an Accounting Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential support to the accounting department by handling data entry, invoice processing, and general administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
Key Responsibilities :
Invoice Processing : Assist with entering and tracking invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
Data Entry : Maintain and update financial records in accounting systems and spreadsheets.
Filing & Documentation : Organize and file financial documents, both digitally and physically.
Account Reconciliation : Support monthly reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies.
Vendor Communication : Liaise with vendors regarding billing inquiries and payment status.
Administrative Support : Provide general administrative assistance to the accounting and finance team.
Reporting : Assist in generating financial reports and summaries as needed.
Compliance : Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting procedures.
Qualifications :
Education : Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience : 2+ years of administrative experience in an accounting or finance setting.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite).
Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Time Management : Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Team Player : Willingness to collaborate and support team goals.
