Telemetry & Thoracic / Cardiovascular Unit
This unit provides specialized care for patients with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular conditions. Services include continuous telemetry monitoring, post-operative care for heart and lung surgeries, and comprehensive recovery support. The team uses advanced technology and a multidisciplinary approach to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably at least one year of recent experience working in direct patient care. Must be able to work 7pm-7am, 3pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am, including rotating weekends and holidays.
Job Summary
Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. Scope impacts patient comfort and outcome of care. Essential Job Functions acts as a member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit / discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information. Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner. Acts as part of an assigned care team. Other duties as assigned.
Education
Required : High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
Required : None Preferred : One year of inpatient hospital experience.
Licenses and Certifications
Preferred : CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Upon Hire
Other Requirements
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
