Med / Surg RN Job Details - Austin, TX Location : Austin, TX 78758 (North Austin - close to top dining, shopping, and entertainment) Unit : 4 North - Medical / Surgical (32-bed Med / Surg unit) Assignment Type : Travel RN contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 9 / 29 / 2025 - End : 12 / 29 / 2025) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Dress Code : Navy scrubs Estimated Weekly Salary : $1360 - $1460 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent Medical / Surgical nursing experience BLS certification required Preferred : Experience with transplant, dialysis, diabetic patients; ACLS certification Excellent communication and teamwork skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care to a diverse Med / Surg population Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Meditech EMR Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (charge RN, RNs, PCTs) Operate advanced clinical equipment (Welch Allyn vital signs machines, i-mobile iPhones, radio headsets) Assist with surgical procedures and kidney transplant care Demonstrate initiative and a team-oriented approach Be part of a "Unit of Distinction 2021" and work alongside experienced healthcare professionals using the latest technology.
