Qc Technician

3pm-11 : 30 pm with 1-2 hours OT required M-F. Will work every other Saturday. $19 / hr.

PPE required is : Hard hat, safety shoes, glasses, vests. Employee must wear steel toed shoes, Customer will provide the rest of the PPE.

A Quality Control (QC) Technician in a manufacturing environment like Nitto's focuses on the technical inspection and testing of materials and products to ensure they meet established standards before they are used or shipped.

Core Responsibilities Typically Include :

• Testing and Analysis : Performing physical, chemical, or mechanical tests on incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Measurement : Using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, or specialized lab equipment) to ensure dimensional and functional specifications are met.
• Documentation : Accurately recording and documenting all test results, completing inspection reports, and maintaining a clear audit trail.
• Non-Conforming Material : Identifying, isolating (quarantining), and reporting defective or non-conforming materials and products.
• Equipment Maintenance : Calibrating and maintaining lab and testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Adherence to Standards : Ensuring compliance with internal procedures (SOPs), customer specifications, and external regulatory standards.

Minimum Education and / or Experience :

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or inventory control environment. Experience with ERP systems (preferably JDE) and inventory software preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

Understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations

Proficient in Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)

Experience with ERP systems such as JDE

Valid Driver's License (required after conversion)

Strong documentation and record-keeping skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment :

Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands for handling and operation.

Frequently reaches with hands and arms; occasionally stoops, kneels, or crawls.

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.

Exposed to moving mechanical parts and warehouse conditions.

Moderate noise level typical of a warehouse environment.

Must be able to work on-site 100% of the time.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
