MRI Technologist (Part-Time)

GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.

We are seeking a MRI Technologist (Part-Time) Our ideal candidate will report to the designated leader within the Imaging Department. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, you will provide clinical services according to MRI practice standards and act as a resource to MRI students and other technologists while ensuring optimal department functions.

Qualifications Requirements :

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Diploma from certified school of Radiology.
  • Current ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Two (2) years of experience as a MRI tech and acute care experience preferred.
  • BS or MS in healthcare preferred.
  • Skills :

  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have working knowledge of computers and basic management applications.
