RN- ICU (FT- 0.9 FTE, Variable Shift)

This positions is full-time varied position, 0.9 FTE, 36 hours / week with weekend requirements. Position Summary : The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients. Minimum Qualifications :

• Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 6 months of hire
• American Heart Association BLS
• American Heart Association ACLS within 8 months of hire
• American Heart Association PALS within 8 months of hire
• Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursing. Essential Job Functions :

• Stroke Competency :
• Complies with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyperacute and acute stroke
• Participates in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stoke) education within one year of hire
• Participates in one hour annually of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education This position is represented by the Montana Nurse's Association.
