The
- Construction Manager
- is responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale telecommunications infrastructure projects, including fiber optic networks. This senior-level role requires expertise in construction management within the telecom industry, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and technical standards. The Construction Manager will serve as the central leader, coordinating between engineering, field crews, contractors, and clients to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications :Education :Bachelor’s Degree (or Equivalent Experience) in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications or related discipline.Experience :minimum 7 years’ experience within the Telecommunications Construction Industry, previous Project Management, and Field Construction Experience required.Number and Type of Employees Supervised: Supervision of other Managers or Project Managers required.Preferred Licenses or Certifications :PMP or telecom-specific certificationsResponsibilities and Duties :Project Leadership & OversightManage end-to-end construction activities for telecommunications infrastructure projects (fiber deployment).Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and resourcing to meet milestones and deadlines.Ensure construction aligns with engineering designs, permitting requirements, and technical specifications.Telecommunications-Specific OversightCoordinate installation of underground and aerial fiber optic cable systems.Oversee permitting, right-of-way, and utility coordination with municipalities and regulatory agencies.Ensure compliance with FCC, OSHA, and local telecommunications construction standards.Team & Vendor ManagementSupervise internal teams, subcontractors, and vendor partners.Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight to construction staff.Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and municipalities.Financial & Risk ManagementDevelop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking.Review and approve invoices, change orders, and contract modifications.Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project continuity and profitability.Safety & ComplianceEnforce safety standards and compliance with OSHA, DOT, and telecom-specific regulations.Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to quality and safety protocols.Implement best practices for construction quality and risk management.Reporting & CommunicationProvide regular progress updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.Maintain detailed project documentation, construction reports, and close-out packages.Act as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and permitting authorities.All other duties as assignedRequired SkillsProven working experience in construction managementAdvanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methodsFamiliarity with construction management software packagesCompetent in conflict and crisis managementExcellent verbal and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently on assigned dutiesStrong team and collaborative skillsStrong time management and organizational skillsDemonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlinesJob Type : Full-time
