Description : General Comments :

The unit has 36 beds and a staff of 40.

Day shift consists of 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 CNAs, and 1 HUC.

Night shift consists of 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1 HUC.

Patient ratios are 5 : 1 and 6 : 1 during the day and 7 : 1 during the night.

Standard Med Surge equipment is used.

The EMR system is Cerner.

Most recruited skills :

Candidates must have NIH and ACLS certifications.

Neuro experience is preferred.

Typical procedures performed on the unit include Foley insertion and IV start.

The best personality fit for this role is outgoing and self-motivated.

Floating areas may include other med surge floors.

The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.

New staff will receive a reference book provided at the start of their contract.

Work requires every other weekend.

Position is a contractor replacement.
