Locum Tenens Hospitalist Opportunity near Pensacola, FL (ASAP - Ongoing)

We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician for a locum tenens position near Pensacola, Florida. This opportunity is ideal for a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine physician looking to work in a dynamic hospital environment with a new residency program launching in 2024.

Job Overview :

  • Position Type : Locum Tenens
  • Start Date : ASAP - Ongoing
  • Duration : 3 months with potential for extension
  • Specialty : Hospitalist Medicine
  • Shifts Available :

Physician : 6a-6p (day) or 6p-6a (night)

  • Advanced Practice Provider (APP) : 7a-7p / 8a-8p / 4p-4a

    • Key Details :

  • Hospitalist Program Profile :

    • 14-physician program with APP support

  • Open ICU : 13 beds
  • Day and Nocturnist positions are available to match your preferences
  • No codes or procedures required
  • Full intensivist and critical care subspecialty support provided
  • Support Staff :

    • Advanced Practice Providers assist during multiple shift times

  • Integrated with the new Internal Medicine Residency program starting in July 2024, offering opportunities to work closely with Graduate Medical Education (GME) teams

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certification : Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Licensing : Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Florida medical license before starting
  • Experience : Strong preference for candidates with prior hospitalist experience or experience working in a hospital-based setting
