Are you the go-to expert for tight-tolerance turning?
If you can read M- and G-code, set up complex jobs fast, and keep machines cutting while you stage the next order, you’ll thrive here. On 1st or 3rd shift, you’ll support our Small and Large Bearing Departments and report to the Lead Machinist.
Your impact
- Own complete setups and operation on multitasking, vertical, and horizontal CNC lathes, with occasional manual lathe / drill press work
- Hit ±0.0005 in. tolerances consistently, verifying with hand metrology and CMMs
- Keep work moving : download / edit the next program, prep raw material, workholding, gauges, and tools while the machine runs
- Turn drawings, routings, and layouts into on-time parts; flag and resolve nonconformances immediately with the Section Lead or ME
- Champion CI : contribute to Kaizen, SMED, and lean problem-solving
- Apply sound machining practices across stainless / duplex stainless, Monel, Hastelloy, nickel alloys, cast iron, carbon steel, and bronze
- Follow preventive maintenance routines; report equipment anomalies promptly
- Share knowledge by training others when needed; assist with additional tasks as assigned
