Software Engineer - Data Platform

Overview

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building portable nuclear microreactors. The companys first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt failsafe microreactor designed to be transported and run for up to five years without refueling. Radiant aims to replace similar-sized diesel generators and provide asset support for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases. Founded in 2020, Radiant plans to test its first reactor next year at the Idaho National Laboratory, with initial customer deliveries beginning in 2028.

Software Engineer - Data Platform

Radiant is seeking a driven Software Engineer to architect and build data pipelines for analysis and simulation. The role enables software engineers and system researchers across the organization to interrogate simulation results and perform analysis on hardware design iterations. The work serves as a critical link between internal and third-party analysis tools and the teams making hardware and software design decisions.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Architect data platforms and pipelines to support design analysis
• Design, build, and maintain batch and streaming ETL pipelines
• Own data review products end-to-end, starting by gathering requirements and delivering with ongoing improvement
• Know internal customers by collaborating with the simulation team and mechanical engineers to understand workflows and pain points
• Scope and guide the development of front-end features, implement data visualizations and dashboards solo or in collaboration with other front-end engineers
