About The Position

Certifications : ACLS, BLS required

Must-Have : Previous charge experience preferred

Must have experience with Cerner, telemetry, and cardiac monitoring.

Must be able to manage ventilated patients.

Must have skills in IV therapy and phlebotomy.

Must be able to interpret 12-lead EKGs.

Must be capable of managing cardiac drips without titration.

Must have experience with rapid response and code teams.

Description :

This role involves providing care in a combined medical-surgical and telemetry unit.

The nurse will care for patients with complex medical needs, including those requiring ventilator support and continuous cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities include managing patients with a variety of diagnoses such as cardiac issues, respiratory conditions, renal failure, and complications from surgeries.

The nursing staff will work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

The nurse will float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as needed.

Holiday and weekend coverage will be required, including every other holiday and 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule.

Nurses will utilize Cerner for documentation and charting.

Experience with telemetry and the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms is essential.

The department emphasizes infection control and isolation precautions as part of patient management.

Candidates should be prepared to work with diverse patient populations, including adults and geriatrics.

Previous charge experience is preferred but not required.

The nurse will support a daily census of approximately 30 patients and will work with a team of various healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
