Tank's Green Stuff is Southern Arizona's premier producer of organic composts, mulches, soil blends, and recycled landscape materials .
We champion sustainability, circular economies, and local partnerships all while serving homeowners, landscapers, contractors, and municipalities. In addition to our core composting and soil operations, we also supply mined aggregates and erosion control products for construction and land development projects throughout the region.
Position Summary
We're looking for a dynamic, motivated Sales Associate to join our team and help drive sales of our diverse product line - including compost, mulch, soil blends, erosion control materials, and mined aggregates . This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability, business development, and building strong client relationships .
This position is open to current students and recent graduates of the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona . You'll get hands-on sales experience and a front-row seat to the intersection of green tech, circular economies, and industrial supply .
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Tank's Green Stuff at networking events, trade shows, and university career fairs
- Develop and manage new B2B and B2C sales leads
- Work directly with clients including landscapers, contractors, architects, and municipalities
- Learn and promote our sustainable product lines and the environmental benefits of composting and aggregate reuse
- Manage sales process from initial inquiry to order fulfillment and follow-up
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth deliveries
- Track and report sales activities and performance metrics
Ideal Candidate Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Sales, Environmental Science, Business Management, or a related fieldPerson-to-person sales experience is required (retail, B2B, or direct outside sales)Strong communication and relationship-building skillsA self-starter who thrives in a mission-driven, entrepreneurial environmentInterest in sustainability, regenerative practices, construction, or environmental innovationWillingness to get familiar with products and sometimes visit job sites, landfills, or quarriesAbility to work independently and within a teamFamiliarity with CRM tools and basic sales tracking software (a plus but not required)Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportationCompensation & Perks
