Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join the Emergency Department team at a respected hospital in Northwest Texas .This is a full-time, night shift position in a Level III Trauma Center offering a dynamic and rewarding clinical environment.

Job Overview

Position : Clinical Pharmacist Emergency Department

Location : Northwest Texas

Schedule : Full-Time | 10-Hour Night Shifts | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct pharmaceutical care to patients in the emergency department
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other providers on treatment decisions
  • Respond to critical situations including trauma, stroke, cardiac arrest, and sepsis cases
  • Perform medication reconciliations and make evidence-based therapy remendations
  • Monitor for medication safety issues, adverse drug reactions, and implement corrective actions
  • Educate patients and staff on medication use and safety
  • Participate in emergency response protocols and quality improvement initiatives

Minimum Requirements :

  • B.S. or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Active pharmacist license in the state of Texas or eligibility to obtain
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Must meet applicable state requirements (e.g., sterile pounding certifications)
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • PGY2 residency in emergency medicine or critical care
  • PGY1 residency with relevant ED / ICU experience
  • Equivalent clinical experience in an emergency or critical care setting
