About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Health Insurance Economics & Analytics Manager to join our client who is a leading healthcare insurance client. This is a high-impact role where you’ll apply advanced analytics to drive financial and clinical insights that directly influence organizational strategy and plan performance.
This position offers the opportunity to lead analytics initiatives, guide a dedicated team, and present meaningful insights to executive leadership and external stakeholders. You’ll have visibility, influence, and the chance to make measurable improvements in healthcare outcomes and cost savings.
What You’ll Do
Lead analytics strategy – develop utilization, financial metrics, methodologies, and benchmarks to assess plan performance and calculate potential savings.
Visualize insights – design dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau to communicate results clearly to stakeholders.
Analyze trends – evaluate medical cost drivers, identify opportunities for improvement, and support operational effectiveness initiatives.
Collaborate with leadership – connect business programs with financial forecasts, performance outcomes, and emerging results.
Tell the story – translate complex financial and medical data into actionable recommendations.
Supervise and mentor staff – oversee a Medical Economics team, building skills in advanced analytics and data interpretation.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Healthcare, or a quantitative discipline.
5+ years of experience in medical economics, actuarial informatics, or healthcare analytics.
3+ years of leadership experience managing analytics or BI teams.
Strong knowledge of healthcare payer metrics and medical claims analysis.
Expertise with SQL, Access, advanced Excel / PowerPivot; Tableau preferred.
Strong communicator who can prepare, present, and influence at all organizational levels.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver actionable results.
