Job Opportunity : Administrative Director – Family Medicine

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Director to lead ambulatory operations within a highly collaborative rural health system. This full-time, onsite leadership role offers the opportunity to shape outpatient care delivery across the New London Hospital main campus.

Position : Administrative Director – Family Medicine

Location : New London, NH

Employment Type : Permanent | Full-Time

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Compensation : $50.41 - $75.62 / hour

Position Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Health Care Administration preferred)
  • Extensive ambulatory leadership experience required
  • Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration or Business Administration preferred (or enrollment within first year)
  • Minimum 5 years operations management in outpatient ambulatory care, rural health center, or FQHC highly preferred
  • Strong background in business planning and financial analysis required
  • Demonstrated experience with change management and quality improvement
  • Proven ability to collaborate with physicians, administrators, clinical, and support staff with tact and discretion
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Rural Health Center certification preferred (must obtain within first year)

Role Responsibilities :

  • Oversee daily operations for Family Medicine at New London Hospital
  • Lead ambulatory practice workflows, access, quality initiatives, and staff development
  • Support rural health center performance at both New London Hospital and Newport Health Center
  • Partner closely with Dartmouth Health specialists and system leadership to optimize patient care
  • Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation
  • Drive continuous improvement, patient access, and high-quality primary care delivery
  • Foster a collaborative environment in a community-centered rural health setting
  • Facility Overview :

    New London Hospital (NLH) – a not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital serving 15 communities in the Kearsarge / Lake Sunapee region.

    Newport Health Center (NHC) – a rural health center providing primary care, pediatrics, gynecology, occupational health, imaging, and rehabilitative services.

    Both facilities are members of Dartmouth Health , offering integrated specialty support and shared medical record systems.
