We are seeking a Product Development Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of innovative catheter and endoscopic devices. This role will work as part of a cross‑functional R&D team, driving early‑stage product development activities, supporting prototyping and feasibility testing, and collaborating with manufacturing to ensure smooth design transfer.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with hands‑on experience in catheter or endoscopic device development who is excited to shape new products from concept through commercialization. More senior candidates may be considered for expanded scope and leadership responsibilities.
Day-to-Day
Product Design & Development
- Contribute to the design and development of new catheter and endoscopic devices.
- Support feasibility testing, prototyping, and early‑stage design iteration.
- Apply catheter design principles and manufacturing methods such as extrusion, thermal bonding, reflow, and injection molding.
R&D Testing & Iteration
Conduct bench‑top and lab testing to evaluate performance and design intent.Analyze results, document findings, and provide design recommendations.Identify and implement design improvements based on testing data and feedback.Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with process development, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design for manufacturability and regulatory readiness.Support design transfer activities to move products from R&D into production smoothly.Partner with program managers and other engineers to align on timelines, requirements, and product goals.Create and maintain design documentation, specifications, and test protocols.Contribute to risk assessments, design history files, and verification / validation activities.Support continuous improvement initiatives across the product development lifecycle.Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.3–5 years of experience in catheter or endoscopic device product development.Hands‑on experience with catheter technologies (e.g., extrusion, reflow, thermal bonding, layup).Strong R&D skills with experience in prototyping and bench‑top testing.Familiarity with design controls, verification / validation, and design transfer.Excellent communication, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.Seniority level
