ACERTUS is the only tech-enabled automotive logistics company to move, store, recondition, title & register finished vehicles. We are seeking a State Relations Specialist to join our Title and Registration (T&R) Transportation Services team. Reporting directly to the Sr Manager Vendor & State Relations, this role will assist in managing and updating legislative requirements around T&R, operating licenses, and establishing / maintaining state relationships that cultivate key jurisdictional contacts across 50+ states.
Schedule : Monday - Friday
Pay : $60,000 - $65,000 / year based on experience
25% Travel required
What you will be doing :
- Monitor policy developments in the motor vehicle industry
- Partner with organizations within the automotive industry
- Establish / maintain DMV relationships in all jurisdictions
- Partner to build strategy and relationship portfolios with clients and states
- Engage and meet with regulators on behalf of ACERTUS to represent our interests, track interactions with public officials, and maintain relationships with industry regulators and officials nationwide.
- Project manage implementation of many workstreams related to our partnerships with governments
- Identify proactive opportunities to engage in the legislative or regulatory process
- Assist the Legal team with policy research on key issues.
- Must be willing and able to perform all other duties as assigned by management.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in public policy, related field, or equivalent experience.3-5 years of experience in Government Affairs, and Public PolicyExperience in transportation or title & registration services is a plus but not requiredEnergy, enthusiasm, and motivation to thrive in a rapidly growing company where roles and priorities evolve as the company evolvesHighly analytic with an ability to identify important issues and propose solutionsCapacity to work on several projects simultaneously and keep them organizedExcellent communication skills, with experience in public speaking and high-stakes oral and written advocacyExperience performing independent research with both internal and external resources.Competency with Microsoft Office, AI Tools, and with standard office equipment like computers, scanners, printers, etc.Experience in similar roles at innovative companies.25% travel requiredBenefits :
