Alternative Fuel Systems Maintenance
Salary : $22–$34 per hour, based on experience
SCHEDULE
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 AM–5 : 30 PM (no weekends or overtime)
OUR CLIENT
Our client is seeking a Service Technician to support their growing operations team in the clean-fueling industry. This role focuses on performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on compressed and liquefied natural gas fueling equipment to ensure dependable performance, safety, and efficiency across local fueling stations.
The Service Technician will contribute to preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability initiatives, and overall site appearance while working with modern alternative fuel systems and technology.
THE ROLE
The successful Service Technician will :
- Inspect, maintain, and repair fueling systems, including compressors, dispensers, storage tanks, dryers, and mechanical valves.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems such as panels, relays, motors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Maintain and adjust mechanical components like pumps, engines, piping, and cooling systems to ensure safe, effective operation.
- Perform routine site inspections, capture system data, and correct minor performance deviations.
- Complete preventative maintenance and accurately record work orders and findings using digital tools on a laptop or mobile device.
- Maintain clean equipment and fueling areas for optimal appearance and customer safety.
- Travel between assigned local service sites as needed within the D.C. area.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.Minimum of 4 years of related mechanical or electrical maintenance experience.Skilled at diagnosing and resolving both electrical and mechanical equipment faults.Ability to interpret wiring and hydraulic schematics and follow safety guidelines.Proficient with modern maintenance and reporting software.Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
